Heritage

The HERITAGE section constitutes the core of the KNOT website, where you can access the information on Indigenous American Heritage preserved in Italian Museums and Institutions. This section is divided into two different subsections, called ROUTES and MUSEUMS.

ROUTES. In this section, you will encounter stories of specific artifacts or groups of objects, told in immersive scrollytelling narratives.

MUSEUMS. In this section, you will find a list of Italian institutions that hold Indigenous American material culture, of any region and any time period.

COLLECTORS. In this section you will go through a list of travelers, academics and religious people involved in the assemblage of Indigenous American heritage currently held in Italian institutions.
