Collectors

In this section, you can find a downloadable PDF containing an alphabetically ordered list of collectors involved in the assemblage of Indigenous American heritage currently held in Italian institutions.

The term “collectors” is used here in a broad sense, encompassing any individual who possessed one or more of these artifacts at any point in their collection history.

Each entry includes the collector’s name and, when available, their dates of birth and death; a list of museums that currently hold objects once owned by the collector; a concise biographical profile; and an essential bibliography.

As with other sections of the KNOT website, these list is conceived as a collaborative work in progress and will be updated on a regular basis.

If you wish to collaborate by providing relevant information that can be incorporated into the list, please write to info@knotproject.it. Your contribution will be acknowledged in the “Contributors” section of the relevant entry.
